About Eczema Checker
Making skincare safer for eczema-prone skin through science and accessibility
Our Mission
Eczema Checker was created to empower individuals and families affected by eczema with accessible, science-based tools for making informed skincare decisions.
We believe that everyone deserves access to reliable information about skincare ingredients and their potential impact on eczema-prone skin, without needing a medical degree to understand it.
Dr. Siti Shahera Anwar, PhD EMBA
With years of experience in the skincare industry and a deep understanding of skin biology, I created Eczema Checker as a free resource to help families navigate the complex world of skincare ingredients.
My research background in skin regeneration, combined with firsthand experience supporting individuals with eczema, inspired me to build tools that bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and practical, everyday skincare decisions. As a mother of children with eczema, this work is deeply personal to me.

Through my work with families affected by eczema, I saw firsthand how difficult it was to find gentle, well-formulated skincare for children โ especially in hot, humid climates.
This led me to develop Oumi Kids, a science-backed skincare line designed to support children's developing skin barrier with thoughtful, evidence-informed formulations.
